Apparently the Obama Administration also prefers to keep life simple. On October 13, 2010 President Obama signed “The Plain Writing Act“. The Plain Writing Act requires federal agencies to use “clear Government communication that the public can understand and use.” They’ve even created a nifty website with free advice on how to write and speak in simpler language. Plainlanguage.gov provides links to dictionaries and style guides for assistance.
