I thought this might happen. The first-ranked team in Belgium’s division (which is Belgium! Go Devils!) has always been slated to play the second-ranked team in the USA’s division. Well, after the US lost to Germany, the US landed solidly in the number 2 role. So now… they will play Belgium! What’s an American girl with Belgian heritage to do?

I have to admit I am still leaning Belgian, because they really care about the World Cup and they don’t have all the major sports the U.S. has, year-round. Basically, they are so small that they don’t have as much success in sports. So why can’t we let them have this one?

I guess either way, I win!
